My impending departure (11 days!) has forced me to start thinking about packing. The prospect is a bit daunting, to say the least, so I've decided to ease myself into it by considering what sources of entertainment I can afford to pack. I'm trying to settle on two DVDs and one fun book (along with a few more serious selections).
So, my question:
If you could only have one fun book for a year, which would you choose? (Optional: Why?)

A book of short stories for sure - that way you don't have to read the same damn story over and over.
So I would pick David Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty One Day because it is hilarious and no matter how many times I read it, I still laugh out loud.
(Henry would pick Bridget Jones' Diary. I disapprove.)
Also, WHY ONLY TWO DVDS THAT IS TORTURE?!! Why can't you bring a CD wallet of them? (A small one, not your huge one.)
I recommend my current favorite -- Out of Antarctica. Educational for sure ;-)
And several Stargate SG-1 videos.
Don't bother packing DVDs: when you get to Dhaka, convert $20 to the local shekels, and go to the nearest mall with an acquaintance. You'll be able to get ~20 DVDs containing the latest (wester/bollywood) releases for your trouble.
