Kakabo
We went back into the village today for another exercise, and I took several photos of the family we've befriended.

What beautiful children - such wonderful smiles! I am sure they enjoy your visits - did yoiu go by bicycle this time? I certainly would be out of luck as I never learned to ride other than a tricycle!! Keep up the great work!!
A note on the title: It is--for those who may be wondering--a selection from Coleridge's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner". These lines, however, are also apt descriptors of the current situation in rural Bangladesh, where the supply of well water is contaminated with toxic levels of naturally occurring arsenic. Moreover, standing water is also unsafe due to its inherent microbial content. Thus, water sources are ever-present, but few of these provide water that is safe for everyday consumption.
